Welcome to the Future Ready
Coaching Academy

Learn how soft skills can help you flourish academically, personally, and professionally.

About Us

We are the Future Ready Coaching Academy (FRCA) based at Leiden University College (LUC) in The Hague, Netherlands. Our mission is to improve students' well-being and prepare them for the labor market through soft skills coaching. The FRCA is led by a group of volunteers and highly dedicated LUC students under

the guidance of Dr. Ayo, the founder of FRCA.

15 Essential Soft Skills for the 21st Century

The Future Ready Coaching Academy has developed three broad categories of soft skills that students need to thrive academically, personally, and professionally in the 21st-century — ‘social skills’, ‘emotional skills’ and ‘compound skills.’ These three broad categories of soft skills are split into 15 narrower, lower-order complementary skills. Find out more by taking our soft skills assessment test.

Group Coaching

Students learn best when they are active, engaged, and work in groups. So, a lot of importance is placed on social connection, peer learning, and group activities.

Panel Discussion

With the growing “cancel culture” in higher education, we need to prepare our students on how to respectfully interact with people who hold opposing viewpoints. So, the panel discussion and debate sessions are student-led.

Testimonials

“Dr Ayo's soft skills coaching was instrumental in my achieving a fully-funded place in the Public Policy master at Oxford University. He was the first person to encourage me to apply. In other words, he helped me see a dream I had not known I had. He never even seemed to doubt that I could do it. His confidence in me was a source of courage and strength during the several-month-long and complex application process. Moreover, his concrete insights into stress management, effective and clear communication as well as self-awareness helped me improve my application."
